Daddy-Daughter Lunch

,

Kylie loves daddy-daughter dates. She is definitely a Daddy's girl without question. Every thing Daddy says is always right, anything he gives her she treats like gold and every thing he does is awesome. So, you can imagine her excitement the day she found out that she was going to have lunch with Daddy at school and could show him off to all her friends. She counted down to "the date of all dates". She was not disappointed. She had Daddy all to herself and had a blast!

They sang a song to their dad - she practiced it at home with me, but we always kept it a secret from dad.

A Perfect Ten Day! (three days in a row)

The A/C or heat did not click on once. The weatherpersons (to be politically correct) have their ways of determining on a scale from 1-10 what the day will be like. This is my scale. I love these days!

Running, Again.

Another River Run down. I felt the best I have at the end of a race - during the race not so much. I had a lot of cramps to work through. Despite that, I finished better than I had planned - 1:09! That is 10 minutes better than last year. Maybe next year, I can shave off another 10. It was a bit lonely this year, so do I have any one that wants to run it next year with me? If not the River Run, so I have any takers on training for a marathon with me?

Love having my family to see me at the finish line!

Hanging Out

Where do they learn to pose like that?

Little multi-tasker! And a natural phone-talker.

He loves to suck on his thumb accompanied by the tag of his blanket. He cannot have one without the other.

Katy, here are your garden pictures...

...now, where's yours? (that invitation is open to all)

We harvested some lettuce on Saturday. At least what we could - David had the drill (see previous garden post). Kylie was the brave soul to try the first bite - it passed! We are so excited to have our little own garden. The kids love seeing it grow and knowing that they had a part in it
.

Spring has brought me such a nice surprise

Flowers blossoming right before my eyes (literally). I left Saturday morning and returned that afternoon with these planted.

Thank you! We love them (Kylie could hardly contain herself)!

First Tooth

This is about a month overdue. Just wanted to document it. These suckers are freaking sharp! He is so hard to discipline when he bites down. He gets the most pathetic look and busts into tears.
