I love free things to do! (and post #101!)
And Saturday was just that. The museums were open to all the kids and their families. We were planning on hitting 2 out of the 4 that were available, but we only made it to one - the Cummer Museum. We stayed for 2 hours and the girlios still wanted more. Outside was just as fun as the inside. This museum has beautiful gardens right on the river. Perfect opportunity to take pictures of my beautiful children in those beautiful gardens. The pictures probably would have turned out better if I had had help, but whatever. (And, besides, Spencer was more interested in the grass and even had a bite of it.)
We already have plans to return this week.

First 'for real' Harvest
No pictures, but our garden sure came in handy tonight for a few reasons:
1. We were out of lettuce for a salad, so what did we do? Picked it from our garden, of course!
2. We needed onions to add flavor, what did we do? You guessed it - picked the green onions from our garden.
We needed dill for seasoning, but we hadn't planted any of those yet and were sad about that, but were felling awesome about the lettuce and onions!
For anyone not on board, you totally should hop on. It is so simple and so gratifying! You can do it even if you live in an apartment. Click here for more information.

First Beach Visit of the Year
We have not been to the beach for almost a year. And this was Spencer's first. We thought the weather was going to be perfect, but it was a bit windy and cold when we first got there. We stayed anyways and ended up being there for 1 1/2 hours. The sun did come out, but the wind never let down. Sand in the eyes is what finally got us to leave. Dallin was there also, but he was busy eating/trying to sleep most of the time (and that is probably why Happy is not pictures either). Thanks for joining us, Happy, Teya and Dallin!

Daddy-Daughter Lunch
Kylie loves daddy-daughter dates. She is definitely a Daddy's girl without question. Every thing Daddy says is always right, anything he gives her she treats like gold and every thing he does is awesome. So, you can imagine her excitement the day she found out that she was going to have lunch with Daddy at school and could show him off to all her friends. She counted down to "the date of all dates". She was not disappointed. She had Daddy all to herself and had a blast!
They sang a song to their dad - she practiced it at home with me, but we always kept it a secret from dad.

A Perfect Ten Day! (three days in a row)
The A/C or heat did not click on once. The weatherpersons (to be politically correct) have their ways of determining on a scale from 1-10 what the day will be like. This is my scale. I love these days!

Running, Again.
Another River Run down. I felt the best I have at the end of a race - during the race not so much. I had a lot of cramps to work through. Despite that, I finished better than I had planned - 1:09! That is 10 minutes better than last year. Maybe next year, I can shave off another 10. It was a bit lonely this year, so do I have any one that wants to run it next year with me? If not the River Run, so I have any takers on training for a marathon with me?
