That word totally describes Kylie. She keeps anything that as any meaning at all. I would almost say she might be a pack-rat, but that is not it. She can throw away stuff that isn't meaningful to her. We have struggled to find a good consequence when she chooses to not obey, be nice, etc. Timeout only worked for the moment. Scolding never got anywhere (she would just roll her eyes). Extra chores was more of a battle.
Then, we found it! Her blue blanket that "my daddy got me when I was a baby" (she sleeps with it every night). And anything that her Daddy gives to her (or even says) is gold to Kylie. She receives 2 warnings before it is taken away. It works great. No screaming, no rolling of eyes.
This is magic in parenthood I suppose.

"Do you love Daddy?"

A Half A Year
Spencer is 6 months!

At times I wonder, 'Where has the time gone?' and others times I wonder, 'Why can't time go by faster?' (those would be the times of no-sleep nights and lots of screaming).
We just love, love, love our cute, sweet, smiley little boy. He is crawling already. Our earliest yet. He has perfect form when he does a full-body push-up and plank on the ground. He is very strong. He loves when anyone talks to him and rewards you with the biggest, cutest smile. He loves his sisters and they love, love him.
He likes to be held much more than any other of our children.
He has rolling over since 2 months. He can even roll over his bed and bouncer even being burrito wrapped (a Daddy speciality).
He prefers his thumb, but we are still pushing the binky.
He loves to chew on anything and has been known to eat paper.
His voice is so sweet, yet his scream is shrilling (he is the best and worst of both worlds). He spits up like no other. He has the roundest head and did when he was born.
He ate some muffin the other day; there was no stopping him - he just dove for it and LOVED it.

He knows his cousin, Dallin - he smiles when he sees him and loves to talk to him on Skype.

We have officially joined the club...
...of the unemployed. But, we are so grateful for the council from latter-day prophets to be self-sufficient (i.e. have a financial reserve, have a year food supply, etc.) that we have followed. Not that we are not going to look for work, but we do not feel as stressed out. So, if you have any work that you need done on your house, car, etc., David is awesome at it...and available.

If you are not a Gator...
.
...and the lady at the Alligator Farm said a 'Florida Gator' did not exist...boy, was she wrong.

Wow! He is flexible...
...and smiley
...and a spitter-upper
...and squirmy - that kid can squirm out of ANYTHING whether he is wrapped or not (no picture to add here, because we rush to rescue too quickly.).
No, don't make her!
I remember saying this to my mom when I was younger when I did not want my sister(s) to have to do certain things. Kylie now says this to me when Ashlyn has to go down for a nap. She will even "hide" Ashlyn.
When we were on vacation and Ashlyn was in her pack-n-play she would even get in with her to sleep (but, mostly, to play).
She sure does love her sister and, most of the time, Ashlyn loves her.
